Entry into this Contest constitutes your acceptance of these Official Rules and all applicable Rules of Facebook/Twitter/Instagram. Facebook/Twitter/Instagram do not sponsor, promote, or endorse this Contest.

ELIGIBILITY/WHO MAY WIN:  This Contest is open only to residents of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico), who are 18 years of age or older (“Entrants”).  Employees of American Rivers and Monster Energy Company and subsidiaries are not eligible to enter.

DATES:  The Contest begins on March 17, 2023 (“Start Date”) and ends on March 31, 2023 (“End Date”).  Entries must be received by 11:59 PM, Pacific Daylight Time (“PDT”), on March 31, 2023. 

PRIZE:  American Rivers baseball hat, American Rivers sticker, American Rivers 50th anniversary coozie, True North Energy Hammock, True North Energy Spot Carabiner, True North Energy Reusable Picnic Kit and True North Energy Chapstick (“Prize”).

ODDS OF WINNING:  The odds of winning are dependent on the number of Entrants and the number of Prizes available.  Entrants are only allowed one entry per Contest.  Any additional entries made by an Entrant will be void.

HOW TO ENTER: 

To enter the Contest, follow these steps:

1. Download on your mobile/smart phone device the free Litterati app from the Apple^® App Store or from Google^® Play. Litterati LLC, is a data science company that uses technology to identify, map, and collect litter around the world (“Litterati”).
2. In the Litterati app, join the Contest using the challenge code NRC2023.
3. Claim your account and connect your account to your email to accept Litterati terms of use and to save your progress.
4. Collect as much litter as you can during the Contest using Litterati to take a picture of each item and tag the type of trash it is. Whoever picks up the most pieces of litter as documented in the Litterati app and is ranked #1 on the challenge’s leaderboard when the contest period ends will be considered for the Prize as set forth below in the Selection Process.

PRIZE VALUE:  This Prize has an approximate retail value of $60.97, and cannot be exchanged for cash or used in conjunction with any other promotion.

SELECTION PROCESS AND PRIZE TERMS OF AGREEMENT:  Entrants will be chosen from those who follow the steps in the “How to Enter” section detailed above. The winner will be determined by the automated leaderboard through Litterati, identifying the Entrant who picked up the most pieces of litter and is ranked #1 on the challenge’s leaderboard for the Contest (“Winner”). Winner will be contacted by Litterati and instructed to contact American Rivers to claim the Prize.

Winner must be 18 years of age. Winner is responsible for any taxes related to this Contest.  In addition to applicable federal laws, Winner is subject to all applicable state laws, regulations, and codes in their place of residence within the United States.  If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of completion as planned, American Rivers reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest, including substituting the Prize.

If a Winner does not contact American Rivers by email or phone within 7 days following notification by Litterati, or is otherwise ineligible, American Rivers may proceed to selecting the Entrant who is ranked #2 on the challenge’s leaderboard. If neither the #1 or #2 ranked Entrants reply by email or phone within 7 days of notification by Litterati, American Rivers may choose to name a Winner from the next ranked Entrant or to not award a Prize.

NOTIFICATION AND DELIVERY OF PRIZE:  Winner will be notified by email from Litterati within 2 days after End Date.  Winner will be required to provide full contact information in order for American Rivers and True North Energy to deliver the Prize.  Delivery will be transmitted via USPS, UPS mail or FedEx.
