Clean-up Information

As an organization we regularly host cleanup events. The last time we had volunteers assist with a cleanup at site we will be working on for the Riverkeeper sweep, at Borden Avenue, we went through countless trash bags to fill 3 dumpsters with 50 volunteers. We are hoping for a similar turnout of volunteers, and know there is enough trash to fill the bags, hence the large request for bags. Newtown Creek is a heavily polluted superfund site on the NPL.
