It’s spring cleaning time on the East River! Join us as we clean the polluted coast at Powell’s Cove Park in College Point, and work shoulder to shoulder with like-minded people who want to make things better.
We will meet at the NEWEST entrance to PCP – the northernmost entrance, at 7th Ave. and 130th (dead end, down the hill from PS 129). It is a double gate and there may be cars parked in front of it so keep your eyes peeled for our signage.
We will make a difference! Our event is part of the Riverkeeper Sweep, in which volunteers at 100+ locations from Brooklyn to Albany are cleaning our riverbanks together. We’ll be out there even in light rain, but not in a torrential downpour.
In partnership with Riverkeeper and Partnerships for Parks’ “It’s My Park Day!” For more information, please visit http://www.coastalpreservation.org/?tribe_events=coastal-cleanup-at-powells-cove-park-2
