Muskegon River Trash Bash – Newaygo

Volunteers should expect to spend two 3 hr shifts on the river, traversing banks and brush for trash and debris.
Midday meal provided and a celebration at Newaygo Brewing Co (19 State Rd) in the evening.

Volunteers should sign in at Wisner Canoes (25 Water St. 49337).

Newaygo is collaborating with the City of Evart, village of Hersey, Big Rapids, Muskegon, and smaller communities in between in attempt to set the world record for most miles of river cleaned in one day. The Newaygo section spans from Brower Park to Bridgeton.

Bring your own boat and transportation or rent from Wisner Canoes. This is a large section of river with harder-to-reach sections at Croton & Hardy Ponds. Please contact Nick & Krista at Newaygo Brewing Co if you’re a group that has capabilities to cover sections like this ahead of time.
