In honor of the 50th anniversary of our National Wild and Scenic Rivers Act and National Public Lands Day, join the Forest Service in a community cleanup of one of our local treasures of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area along the lower Klickitat River.
Registration, cleanup location information, trash bags, gloves, and other supplies will be located at the Lyle Trailhead parking area off of Highway 14 and 142.
The cleanup will include along the river banks, on the Klickitat Trail, and at river access sites. Boaters, hikers, bikers, and equestrians are welcome! Please bring your own outdoor equipment.
We will celebrate the 50th anniversary with cake and cookies, but please provide yourself with lunch, snacks, water, etc.
Even if you can’t participate in the cleanup, please stop by to learn about the Klickitat and Wild & Scenic Rivers.
Sign up here to volunteer with your local cleanup. Bringing friends and family with you? Please register each volunteer separately!
