In September, JRAC is hosting its 20th Annual James River Regional Cleanup! Over the years, the cleanup has attracted thousands of volunteers who roam the shorelines on foot and cruise the water in boats to clean up trash, an effort that is a tremendous benefit to the river, its wildlife, and the people who visit and enjoy the river.
The cleanup is a cooperative, regional event spanning 17 sites along the James River from the City of Lynchburg in the Blue Ridge, through the heart of Central Virginia to the City of Newport News in Tidewater. Powerboats, paddle craft, hikers and waders all needed!
