Bi-State Watershed Cleanup at Lake DeForest

Roll up your sleeves! Hackensack Riverkeeper is recruiting volunteers for the annual Bi-State Watershed Cleanup! We are proud to partner with Park Ridge Green Team, SUEZ Water, Keep Rockland Beautiful, and NJ/Bergen Clean Clean Communities on multiple sites in NY/NJ. If you’ve never seen beautiful Lake DeForest, please join us in New City NY, and help make the lake even more beautiful!

Please also RSVP via our registration page, so we can plan the appropriate amount of materials and keep in contact in case of inclement weather.

Parking for this cleanup will be at the New City Little League fields at 40 Strawtown Road, New City, NY 10956. From there, it’s a short walk down the trail to our meet-up point (signs will guide you).

Hackensack Riverkeeper will provide all materials needed to get the job done: gloves, bags, pickup sticks, canoes, life vests, nets, and tools. Adults only in our canoes, please!

Interested in a different site? Please contact Barbara at [email protected] for a list of additional cleanup areas in NJ and NY. Thanks, and we’ll see you at Lake DeForest!
