Arkansas River Cleanup

The Arkansas River and Lake Dardanelle provide a spectacular setting for both wildlife and people to live in and enjoy. Volunteers are needed to clean our local waterways to keep them healthy. Join forces with Lake Dardanelle State Park for the Great American Cleanup and National River Cleanup to make an impact and keep the area a beloved place to both live in and visit.

The park has a limited number of kayaks available that can be reserved for the cleanup by calling (479) 967-5516 (must be 6 or older, minors must have an adult). Volunteers are welcome to bring their own boats as well. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the visitor center, and we will launch boats at 9 a.m. Supplies will be provided. Volunteers are also encouraged to pick up liter along the shorelines as well. Use of park kayaks is dependent on river conditions.
