Clean-up Information

This year, we will host the Annual Earth Day Cleanup throughout the week of Earth Day (April 19-23) to reduce crowding. Individual participants will pickup at their local river access point for a total of 3 hours throughout the week. Participants will be provided PPE and trash bags, as well as engagement activities (bingo, social media games) each day of the week. We will also provide reports for volunteers to fill out, which includes metrics of bags collected and hours served. Participants who complete 1 activity and submit their reports will be eligible to win prizes. Corporate groups who participate in the cleanup will cleanup specified sites along the Charles River, all on DCR land. Group sizes will be limited to meet State COVID-19 regulations. In addition to PPE and trash bags, trash pickup services will be provided.
