Since 2007, Keurig Green Mountain Inc. has been a generous sponsor of the National River Cleanup program. This sponsorship has been critical to the growth of the program’s national infrastructure that supports river cleanups across the country. Their support has led to the creation of a virtual suite of educational content for American Rivers’ supporters and volunteers.
Keurig provides great opportunities for employees to volunteer across the country, including multiple river cleanups. Over the past few years, hundreds of employees in Vermont have spent thousands of hours cleaning up the Winooski River during their annual week-long employee river cleanup event. In recent years, Keurig employees in Sumner, WA, Castroville, CA, Reading, MA, Windsor VA, and Knoxville, TN have joined in the efforts.
Keurig not only supports National River Cleanup annually, but has supported a variety of river restoration projects in communities near their operating facilities across the county, as well as numerous highly visible communications projects including a suite of films based in priority river basins, including The Important Places, Walt, and Parker’s Top 50 Favorite Things About Northwest Rivers.
We are proud to work with a company dedicated to utilizing their resources to better the environment and encouraging employee engagement through river cleanups.
