You live in southwest Montana, so you understand how important rivers are to our economy and way of life. They supply us with drinking water, sustain our wild trout and other wildlife, and provide world-class recreational opportunities like fishing, paddling and hiking.

American Rivers has been the nation’s leading voice for rivers since our founding in 1973. Over the past five decades, we have protected and conserved more than 150,000 miles of rivers in Montana and across the country through advocacy campaigns, Wild and Scenic river designations, dam removals and other on-the-ground projects.

With our population growing and our climate changing before our eyes, our challenges have never been greater. That’s why we’re asking for your help in two ways. First, we invite you to become an activist by entering your information below. It’s pretty simple – the more people like you who join our ranks, the more political power we build for our rivers.

Montana’s rivers need your voice

Help us make the world a better place by signing up for opportunities to take action for rivers, clean water and the lives that depend on them.

Second, please help us reach our fundraising goal of $50,000 by March 1. Every dollar we raise in this campaign will support our work to protect our most cherished rivers in the Northern Rockies. Your support will help us win permanent protection for iconic rivers like the Gallatin, Madison and Yellowstone, and also defend rivers like the Smith and South Fork Salmon that are threatened by mining in their headwaters.

Support Montana’s Rivers Today

Thank you for taking action today so we can pass our legacy of healthy rivers to future generations!
