Matt Young

Associate Director of Policy and Government Relations

Matt is a native Buckeye from Columbus, Ohio who attended Ohio State University. He previously spent time working with non-profits, state agencies, and research organizations. Most recently, he was working in the office of Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur as a Sea Grant Knauss Fellow. He aims to use his background to work at the intersection of science, engineering, and public policy. His previous experiences covered the environmental spectrum, but after his Knauss fellowship He decided he wanted to work in water resources.

In his free time, he enjoys Buckeye football, Blue Jackets hockey, the Smithsonian Museums, reading, watching movies, lacrosse, and the crossword.
