Lisa provides scientific and technical expertise and guidance for river restoration projects and policy and planning initiatives in California’s Central Valley. She also leads the development and application of quantitative tools to evaluate and optimize benefits of restoration and other management actions to protect and restore river ecosystems.
Lisa joined American Rivers in 2017. She has over 22 years of experience in consulting, applied research, and government, working on a wide array of environmental projects in California and around the world, with a focus on the agriculture/water interface.
Education: Lisa received a BS in Agricultural and Environmental Systems Engineering from Cornell University, an MS in Environmental Engineering from University of California, Berkeley, and a PhD in Environmental Science, Policy and Management (aquatic ecology focus) from University of California, Berkeley.
