Katy uses high-octane storytelling to inform, motivate, challenge, and inspire. She leads American Rivers’ publications strategy and writes frequently for The Current.
Previously Vice President of External Relations at Global Greengrants Fund, Katy co-edited the award-winning publication “Climate Justice & Women’s Rights: A Guide to Supporting Grassroots Action,” and launched a storytelling campaign to amplify the voices of young indigenous people at the Paris climate talks. A 15-year veteran writer and magazine editor, her writing has appeared in Outside, Wired, Trout, and the Denver Post. She is also a native Coloradan and has fly-fishing in her blood—a passion she shares with her husband and young son.
