Aysha Massell

Associate Director, CA Central Valley River Restoration

Aysha has worked in the interrelated fields of sustainable agriculture, water reuse systems, and creek restoration for over 20 years. Before coming to American Rivers, she was the storm water permit manager for UC Berkeley, where she translated state and federal regulations into campus-wide policies and actions, and helped to initiate and complete several creek restoration projects. Aysha’s professional experience includes project management, surveying, site assessment, hydrologic modeling, design, permitting, construction and project monitoring. For fun, she plays music by campfires and drags her family and friends to small creeks and drainages throughout northern California

Education: MS in Environmental Engineering (UC Berkeley, 2013); BA in Liberal Arts (St. John’s College, Santa Fe, NM, 1996)
