Our History and Accomplishments
Following are just some of our selected accomplishments in California:
Restoring Rivers
- Negotiated the world’s largest dam removal on the Klamath River.
Protecting Rivers
- Through our America’s Most Endangered Rivers report, helped raise visibility and kill a proposed highway that would have harmed San Mateo Creek and surfing at Trestles beach.
- Fought dams on the Tuolumne River and led the effort to secure Wild and Scenic River protection.
