Dugan Smith

Dugan has put his heart and soul into being a steward for the Missouri River. He has led the Missouri River Cleanup for the past 10 years. He shows an extreme dedication to America’s rivers. Dugan has also been the lead person in setting up other cleanups up and down the river in various communities over the last two years.

He has also been an instrumental part of organizing the Missouri River Watershed Education Festival. The event gives students an opportunity to participate in hands on learning sessions that represent various aspects of the Missouri River, from erosion to plants and animals to Native American historical meaning and invasive species. Dugan has worked diligently towards preserving our river systems for everyone to enjoy.
