Rebecca Miles has been a leader in river conservation throughout her career with the Nez Perce Tribe. She has been a compelling voice for restoring river health and the salmon, steelhead, and lamprey of the Columbia and Snake River basins.

Miles is currently the first woman and youngest tribal member to hold the title of Chairman, and represents the tribe locally and nationally to promote endangered species recovery, habitat restoration, tribal water rights, treaty fishery rights, and ecosystem health.

Rebecca was named Woman of the Year by Washington State University Alumni Association and received the National River Hero Award for her work to protect and restore threatened and endangered salmon and steelhead in the Columbia and Snake Rivers.
