Water Efficiency in South Carolina
American Rivers is engaging with the SC Office of Energy to implement water audits at all State facilities, including public schools, as required by recent legislation. We are working closely with leaders of the SC Office of Energy (SCOE) to ensure the water efficiency audits will be conducted using the latest best management practices including those in American Rivers’ Hidden Reservoir report.
In response, the SCOE appointed a water efficiency audit coordinator and in Spring 2011 held a full day water efficiency workshop attended by 171 state facilities managers. We will continue to work with SCOE to review audits when completed and track implementation.
