Harrisburg – Liz Garland, the Associate Director of the Clean Water Program for American Rivers, will be speaking this Friday at a conference analyzing the implementation of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act in Pennsylvania and proposing steps for the Commonwealth to effectively move forward.
U.S. Senator Robert P. Casey, Jr. will be the keynote speaker at “Back from the Brink: The Recovery Act One Year Later,” which is sponsored by the Keystone Research Center, Pennsylvania Budget and Policy Center, and Pennsylvania Works.
American Rivers is a cosponsor and Garland will participate in the session, “Smart Growth, Transportation and Infrastructure.” She will speak specifically on the Green Reserve portion of the annual federal appropriations for water management practices which American Rivers worked to secure in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
