for a FREE workshop sponsored by American Rivers, Rain Garden Initiative of Toledo – Lucas County, City of Toledo Stormwater Program, Lucas Soil & Water Conservation District and the Toledo Zoo in partnership with Tetra Tech and US EPA.This valuable workshop is for stormwater professionals, watershed organizations, and municipal officials in the Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan regions. The workshop will be held at the Toledo Zoo on November 5, 2009 from 8:30am – 5:00pm.
Come hear about environmental and community benefits of green infrastructure, design and construction, operation and maintenance, water and stormwater re-use practices, green roofs, green infrastructure on brownfield sites, and how to get a project approved.
Also, on November 6, 2009, a field trip is being offered where you will see green infrastructure practices around the Toledo, Ohio area.
