Staci started work on the Waccamaw River Blue Trail in early May and she has hit the ground running. Meet Staci at: http://videos.thesunnews.com/vmix_hosted_apps/p/media?id=4111330
The three year project is a collaborative effort between American Rivers, the Waccamaw Riverkeeper, and the Pee Dee Land Trust. The goal of the project is to develop a nationally significant blue trail that will serve as a model for communities throughout the Southeast and the nation. We hope that by connecting communities along the Waccamaw River to the recreational, cultural, natural, and economic values of the river, local decision makers will be inspired to support policies that will protect the river’s health for generations to come.
American Rivers along with our partners will be hosting an event on the banks of the Waccamaw River in the beautiful City of Camden, SC on June 20th. If you are in the area, come on over and meet Staci and paddle the beautiful black waters of the Waccamaw River.
