See a Newly Free Flowing Salmon River!
July 16, 2009 | Dams & Dam Removal, Restoring Rivers

Thanks to Pat Manchester, with the Town of Fort Covington in New York, you can see a video of the newly revived Salmon River. The Fort Covington Dam was recently taken down thanks in part to funding provided by the American Rivers-NOAA Community-based Habitat Restoration Partnership. This project will improve public safety and enhance recreational boating opportunities and reestablish fish access to more than 35 miles of the Salmon River and tributaries.
