Your right to clean water is under assault in Congress.
Senators John Barrasso (R-WY) and Dean Heller (R-NV) have proposed an amendment to the Energy and Water Development Appropriations bill (H.R. 2354) that would effectively limit the protection of the Clean Water Act regarding small streams and wetlands across the country-the very streams and wetlands that serve as sources of drinking water for 117 million Americans as well as vital habitat for fish and wildlife.
It’s critical that the Army Corps and the Environmental Protection Agency are able to move forward on clarifying the scope of the Clean Water Act. This Dirty Water Bill is currently awaiting a vote in the Senate and it’s critical we defeat this legislation. To do that we need you! It’s time to let your Senators know that they need to put people’s health before profits, and protect our clean water.
Take action today and help drive home the message that Americans want their Senators to protect clean water. Starting today, Thursday December 1st, at 10am Eastern, we'll be getting the message out. Join us in the effort.
