National environmental groups are working hard to present information to the Obama transition team on how to invest wisely in green infrastructure and jumpstart the economy.
Check out this press release for some details.
I attended the press conference on Capitol Hill where Betsy Otto, American Rivers’ Vice President for Strategic Partnerships, represented the groups on water. She did a great job of highlighting the need for 21st century approaches to water infrastructure and the need to act now.
Some say water will be the oil of the 21st century. Water is more. There is no alternative to water. We must protect this vital resource for the future.
Hopefully the message has been received and we can come to celebrate great water victories in the coming years.
