Want to learn a little more about one of this year’s Most Endangered Rivers? Check out this cool map of the Flint River. The poster shows interesting facts and tidbits about the Flint River’s cultural history along with general information about river systems and corresponding illustrations. Brown’s Guides has also created maps of other Georgia rivers.
The Flint River is one of the state’s most valuable natural treasures. It made this year’s Most Endangered Rivers list because a two-year drought in the Southeast has revived calls to dam the Flint, even though more effective water supply solutions would save Atlanta as much as $700 million. Learn more about the threat to the Flint and how you can help.
