Earlier this week, Orvis re-launched their Fly Fishing Photo Contest to benefit American Rivers. The contest encourages people to submit their favorite fishing or river-related photo. The winning photograph will appear on the cover of a future Orvis fly fishing catalog (mailed to millions of people) and the winning photographer will receive a $1,000 Orvis gift card or a Helios fly rod outfit. Photos can depict a range of subjects, from rivers and landscapes, to fellow anglers, wildlife, and more.
Submit your best photo today (there’s no charge to submit an entry and no limit to how many you can enter) or vote for your favorite and encourage friends and family to do the same! (A $1 donation per vote will go to American Rivers).
You can begin submitting photos immediately and the contest ends on November 30, 2010.
This promotion is a great benefit to American Rivers and our work. It not only encourages people to get out on the river and snap the winning photo, but the donations help fund American Rivers’ efforts to protect and restore the nation’s rivers every time someone votes for their favorite photograph.
Photos can be of anything that captures your eye while out fishing – friends, fish, the river, and beyond. Have fun capturing and sharing your great river memories!
