Report calls for nationwide system of blue trails

Imagine a nationwide network of blue trails — rivers and streams from coast to coast, linking communities and providing recreation opportunities, not to mention priceless services like clean drinking water, natural flood protection, and wildlife habitat.

A report released today by the Outdoor Resources Review Group supports the vision of American Rivers in creating this nationwide blue trails system.

We’re already helping communities across the Southeast create blue trails on the Congaree, Wateree, and Waccamaw rivers.

Imagine what a blue trail could do for your community. If a nationwide system of blue trails is created, what river would be first on your list?
