Outdoor Life names Rebecca Wodder among top 25 conservationists
The President of American Rivers, Rebecca Wodder, is named one of the nation’s top 25 conservationists in the December/January issue of Outdoor Life magazine, which hits newsstands today. You can show your support by voting for Rebecca in the OL 25 “Reader’s Choice” contest!
Rebecca is recognized for her decades of dedication to protecting and restoring our clean water, wildlife, and wildlands. The magazine highlights key American Rivers successes including removing harmful, outdated dams and safeguarding our last wild rivers with Wild and Scenic River designation.
From the magazine:
“When most of us step into the woods or wade into a clear mountain stream, we rarely stop to think about the many people who have made enjoying that experience possible. Yet there are thousands who devote their time, talents and energies to preserving and building this way of life we call hunting and fishing. Some are conservationists, others are public servants, but most are just ordinary sportsmen like us. We thought it would be fitting to recognize some of these incredible people for their efforts. For this reason, we’ve begun a new program called the ‘Outdoor Life 25,’ dedicated to acknowledging those individuals who have had the greatest positive influence on the world of fishing and hunting.”
