Get Money for your Dam Removal Project
As we have done the past eight years, American Rivers is once again working with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to offer grants for stream barrier removal projects. We are specifically looking for projects that will help local communities thrive and benefit diadromous fish species—fish that live in both marine and freshwater habitats.
Since 2001, American Rivers and NOAA have provided financial and technical assistance to more than 100 river restoration projects across the country through our Community-based Restoration Program. In fact today, in Manchester, New Hampshire, our local partners are celebrating one of our many successes as six months ago we helped remove the Maxwell Pond Dam on the Black Brook.
Hopefully we will be celebrating the success of your river restoration project next! Get started by learning more about this program and how to apply.
