Get your vote in! In conjunction with our America’s Most Endangered Rivers® report release earlier this month, The Orvis Company is hosting the Angler’s Choice Award. You have the opportunity from now through May 13th to vote for your favorite Most Endangered River of 2014. With each vote, you will be entered to win prizes from Orvis like gift cards or a Helios 2 outfit.

Excessive water withdraws on rivers like the San Joaquin in California and the South Fork Edisto in South Carolina threaten fish and wildlife habitat that all anglers enjoy. Other threats on this year’s list of endangered rivers include outdated dams, water diversions, pollution, oil and gas development, and floodplain management.

This is the second year for the Angler’s Choice Award. Last year, voters overwhelmingly choose to support the Colorado River. Over the past year we’ve been working with stakeholders to put the Colorado River on a path of recovery for anglers, paddlers, communities, and wildlife.

Check out all the rivers on this year’s list and cast your vote in the Angler’s Choice Award!

The San Joaquin is tough competition.
Your winner is the Caloosahatchie.
Lake O discharges with creosote from the Franklin Lock and Dam, dep epa and ace all in denial. Water treatment plant has been sucking up tainted water for years.
ACE is in the middle of this.
If your ready for a real challenge, see who is able to sue the corps.
I dare you.
