Rebecca works to engage communities in the Southeast in securing sustainable water supplies through water efficiency and water supply planning. She also works to improve recreation, fisheries, water quality, and safety on hydropower dams through Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) dam re-licensings primarily in South Carolina, Georgia and Alabama.

Rebecca joined American Rivers in 2011 after working at the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control as the Watershed Manager for the Saluda and Savannah Basins, and as Watershed Outreach Coordinator for the Bureau of Water.

Rebecca holds a BA in Political Science, Certificate in Environmental Ethics and a MS in Conservation Ecology and Sustainable Development from the University of Georgia
