Katie works to support the Clean Water Supply group through researching a variety of topics including integrating stormwater management into transportation infrastructure and best practices in using green infrastructure to augment local water supplies.  

Katie is a summer fellow with American Rivers.  Before joining American Rivers, Katie was researching coastal water quality issues in California during her doctoral program.  She also worked on a variety of projects covering topics such as the impacts of plastic marine debris and how to create sustainable city plans.

B.A. in Environmental Earth Science and Spanish from the University of California, Berkeley.  M.S. and Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.
