Jacob works on improving watershed health in the Sierra Nevada through meadow restoration, low impact development, and other forms of project support.

Jacob joined American Rivers in 2012 through the Sierra Nevada AmeriCorps Partnership. Previously he has worked restoring fish habitat in Oregon with the US Forest Service and the Long Tom Watershed Council. He lived in Wyoming for a year doing water and soil quality monitoring in the Powder River Basin and enjoying the outdoors in Jackson Hole. He spent a pervious AmeriCorps term doing land conservation on Bainbridge Island.
