Steve White

Associate Director, The Anglers Fund and Southeast Region Development
Department: Resource Development

Area of Focus: Steve works regionally with major donors in the Southeast, as well as nationally connecting American Rivers with the angling community.

Background: Steve joined American Rivers in 2012. Prior to that he worked for IBM as a regional sales executive and a global director of Enterprise Systems sales. His experience spans sales management, marketing, and business development.

Steve is an avid fly fisherman with a personal goal to catch trout on every continent that has them.

Education: B.S. in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina

Favorite River: Madison River

Fishing with Dad

Like many of the people I fish with these days, I grew up fishing. My dad taught me about salt water fish when we lived in Florida and then about largemouth bass and trout when we moved to North Carolina. While we liked all kinds of fishing, we pretty quickly settled into trout fishing in the mountains as our favorite.
