Area of Focus: Katherine works on increasing the protection of hardwood forests in Northeast Georgia and their associated sustainable flows of clean water.
Background: Katherine joined American Rivers in 2011. Prior to that she worked for Georgia River Network developing a water trails program and website for the state of Georgia, and taught environmental science at Gainesville State College. She also worked as a field instructor for the National Outdoor Leadership School(NOLS).
Education: B.A. in Biology from Rhodes College, M.S. in Ecology from The University of Georgia
