Area of Focus: Evan works to protect and restore watershed health in the Sierra Nevada region through meadow restoration, blue trails, and stormwater management.
Background: Evan joined American Rivers in 2012 through the Sierra Nevada Americorps Partnership. He recently worked on a US Forest Service trail crew in Colorado following the completion of his Master’s degree at Northern Arizona University.
Evan’s thesis examined the impacts of introduced bison on wetland vegetation, and as part of his involvement, helped to facilitate a collaborative process among agencies and stakeholders concerning bison management. Evan has prior experience working seasonally with the Forest Service and National Park Service in various functions.
Education: B.S. in Biology from the University at Buffalo, M.S. in Environmental Sciences and Policy from Northern Arizona University
