David Tucker

Department: Resource Development
Area of Focus: David works in the membership department at American Rivers where he helps develop online appeals and manages the stewardship of the River Guardian Society.
Background:David joined American Rivers in December of 2011. Prior to that, David served as the Coordinator for Conservation Programs at Defenders of Wildlife for five years, working on wildlife conservation issues relating to renewable energy, global climate change, and threatened and endangered species. Before joining Defenders, David interned with both the National Wildlife Federation and National Park Service.
David is also a 2010 graduate of the Emerging Wildlife Conservation Leaders Program, an avid sports writer, and a drum major in Baltimore's Marching Ravens.
Education: B.S. in Environmental Science - Politics and Policy, from The University of Maryland, College Park.
