Keri Rinne

Associate Director of Development, California
Department: Resource Development

Area of Focus: Keri works closely with the Senior Director of Conservation and other conservation staff to maintain and expand American Rivers' funding programs in California, including foundation, government grant, and major donor programs.

Background: Before Keri's love of rivers and writing brought her to work at American Rivers in 2010, she spent five years writing grants, developing projects, and building partnerships with a variety of organizations, including the Sierra Native Alliance and the Cosumnes American Bear Yuba Regional Water Management Group (a regional watershed collaborative). Prior to that, Keri honed her communications skills as an editor and writer for magazines and newspapers in the San Francisco Bay Area and an English teacher for elementary school kids in France.

Education: B.A. in journalism from San Francisco State University
