Stephanie Lindloff
Senior Director, River Restoration Program

Department: Conservation

Area of Focus: Stephanie manages staff located throughout the country who work to restore the form and function of rivers and floodplains. She advises multiple on-the-ground restoration projects, spearheads state and federal policy initiatives, and oversees two restoration grant programs administered by American Rivers.

Background: Stephanie joined American Rivers in 2005. Prior to that she coordinated restoration planning efforts for the Housatonic River Natural Resource Damage project in western Massachusetts, managed the River Restoration and Dam Removal Program for the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services, and worked for the River Alliance of Wisconsin. Stephanie's career in river conservation was sparked when she interned with American Rivers to develop the 1995 America’s Most Endangered Rivers report. 

Education: B.A. in Political Science and Environmental Studies, M.S. in Water Resources Management, both from the University of Wisconsin-Madison
