Area of Focus: Lynsey directs the National River Cleanup® Campaign. American Rivers hosts the National River Cleanup® year round to help tens of thousands of volunteers across the country remove trash and cleanup their local streams and rivers.
Background: Lynsey joined American Rivers in 2009. Prior to working on the National River Cleanup Campaign, she worked in the Development Department of American Rivers.
Education: B.S. in Communications from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia

National River Cleanup® joined the Potomac Conservancy last Saturday for a sunny and productive morning out on our Nation’s River. The river cleanup site in Cabin John, Maryland along the C&O Canal was one of hundreds of cleanup sites that worked out on the Potomac River as part of the Alice Ferguson Foundation 24th Annual Potomac River Watershed cleanup.

Jeanne Ison of the Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission, submitted this photo of her adorable granddaughter, Christina Crouch, age 3. Their family both organizes and participates in this cleanup every year and together Jeanne, Misti and her daughter Christina, represent three generations out on the river!
