Area of Focus: Bill leads the federal and state government relations' efforts and also serves as General Counsel. 

Background: Bill joined American Rivers in 2008. Prior to that he handled state government relations and ballot question campaigns at the Trust for Public Land. Bill worked with conservation partners to convince state legislators and voters to approve dedicated funding for land conservation. Bill served as the Chief of Staff for the Massachusetts Attorney General and has worked on political campaigns at the federal, state and local level.

Education: B.A. from Georgetown University,  and J.D. from Boston College Law School (served as an editor of the Environmental Affairs Law Review)
