Areas of Focus: Bill directs the day-to-day operations for AR and, as part of the Executive Team develops the long-term strategies for the organization. Bill also leads American Rivers’ government relations efforts.

Background: Bill joined American Rivers in 2008. Prior to that he handled state government relations and ballot question campaigns at the Trust for Public Land. Bill worked with conservation partners to convince state legislators and voters to approve dedicated funding for land conservation. Before that Bill served as the Chief of Staff for the Massachusetts Attorney General, overseeing internal operations and government relations for the chief law enforcement and public protection agency in the Commonwealth. During his career, Bill has worked on numerous political campaigns at the national, federal, state and local levels.

Education: B.A. from Georgetown University, with majors in History and Economics. J.D. from Boston College Law School.

Favorite River: Concord and Assabet rivers
